Research and Evaluation in Education System
Question: Discuss about the Research and Evaluation in Education System. Answer: Introduction Diversity is illustrated as comprehending, accepting and valuing divergences among individuals with respect to age, gender or ethnicity. Workplace diversity is referred to as the variety of differences between individuals in an organization. It does not involve how individuals perceive themselves but the way they perceive others. The success of the organization as well as competitiveness relies upon the ability to accept variety and comprehend the benefits. A diverse workforce is a reflection of a changing world as well as marketplace (Mertens 2014). Diversity in the workplace brings high value to the organization. The management benefits and associates by generating a competitive edge as well as enhancing work productivity. The report provides an overview about diversity in the workplace that is clearly stated as the subject of imperative attention. It also illustrates about the challenges as well as opportunities that are faced by the managers of the 21st century. Diversity in the workplace The business case for diversity as well as inclusion is basically associated to the innovation strategy of the company. Several voices have a broad range of experiences where this helps to create innovative ideas about commodities and services. The diversity in the workplace has been given so much attention lately because a diverse workforce attracts top talents. In the fight for international talent, workplace diversity and inclusion policies are mostly designed precisely as recruiting and maintenance tools. Companies take several strategies in order to engross the sorts of diverse population they hope to bring on board (Harvey and Allard 2015). The diversity goals and priorities of the organization will not be altered deliberately. However, the impact of diversity on innovation may come into sharper focus. The diversity in the workplace is likely to promote mutual respect among workers. Conflicts among the employees crop up in the work environment. The capability to resolve conflic ts in the workplace minimizes probable liability for worker complaints that in turn escalate the formal matters such as legal issues. The quality of the relationships between workers is also preserved with the help of workplace diversity. The workplace diversity leads to business reputation that is imperative for workers as it manifest itself in assembling an immense reputation for the company. This in turn leads to better profitability as well as opportunities for employees (Barak 2016). Diversity in the workplace is imperative within the organization as well as outside the organization. The reputation of the business flourishes when an organization demonstrates their commitment to diversity with the help of aggressive outreach as well as recruiting efforts. An organization is mostly known for its ethics as well as appreciation for diverse talent that is able to draw a broader pool of qualified applicants. It also leads to increased exposure to workers from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Workers learn from co-employees whose style of work differs. This is mostly true for workers within multigenerational work surroundings (Bond and Haynes 2014). In Apple Inc, for example the workplace diversity leads to a holistic view of diversity that looks beyond the customary measurements. The workplace diversity shapes up the employees so that they are able adjust in all types of situations. It helps them flourish in a diverse culture that includes disability, service to the country as well as religious belief. In other words, with the help of workplace diversity in Apple, a culture of inclusion has been created (Standifer et al. 2013). The company wants their employees to be comfortable so that they can work whole-heartedly in the organization. T he generation of inclusive culture takes both commitment as well as movement that help the workers to identify as well as address insentient racial and gender prejudice. The Company has also been targeting to cultivate diverse leadership as well as tech talent. Challenges and opportunities confronting new managers The management of diversity is nothing new and in order to reach workforce diversity, the attitude requires to shift to one of the inclusion. The management of diversity is an on-going procedure that unleashes several talents as well as capabilities, which a diverse population bring to an organization. Multiculturalism acts as the art of the management of diversity in a total quality manner. It is measured as the only option that is left to the managers in an ever-increasing ethnically pluralistic environment. In the trade world, the process of multiculturalism is best sustained through supervision of varieties. It is considered as an inherent approach to trade principles and human interrelations that recognizes and compliments the contributions of cultural groups (Sweet and Meiksins 2015). The biggest challenges that are faced by the managers include unhealthy tensions, loss of productivity due to increased conflict as well as inability to draw talented individuals of all kinds. The requirements of the 21st century demands a community that is ethnically sensitive as well as globally focused, with a direction toward the future as compared to the past. Multiculturalism acts as the new paradigm for trade for the 21st century managers. It acts as the political ping-pong term that is largely misused and highly misinterpreted. Effectual managers mostly involve the art of managing diversity that acts as the great concern to all individuals (Sabharwal 2014). Diversity management is a strategy to promote the perception as well as incorporation of diversity in organizations as well as institutions. Management of workplace diversity requires to be comprehensive to manage the divergences that individual brings for the productive welfare of everyone (Canas and Sondak 2013). The managers mostly feel threatened by working with individuals of diverse culture, gender as well as age. The first challenge is associated with increase in the cost of training. The increase in cost mostly comes from costs that are associated with seminars, programs as well as lectures to be provided to promote diversity in the corporation. They instruct employees how to acknowledge the behaviours and facts or opinion of others. These programs also instruct one how to contract with divergences and discrimination in a specialized and social mode. The degree to which directors distinguish diversity and its probable advantages and drawbacks defines an approach of the organization to managing the diversity. The most widespread disagreement takes place is from feeling advanced. However, if managers ignore such conflicts, the performance of the company is likely to suffer (Janssens and Zanoni 2014). On the other hand, if such conflicts can be managed as well as controlled, it can lead to improvement in performance. Another major challenge is related to augment in the turnover of labour as well as absenteeism in order to have a diverse workplace. Misconduct of diversity in the form of unused access or adverse conduct can have negative penalty, such as slowing down aptitude and motivation of workers. This leads to inferior job performance. Consequently, when an organization disregards the survival and meaning of employees diversity, disagreement can appear and neither the business nor its workers will comprehend their potential (Landy and Conte 2016). Poor communication acts as another major challenge for the managers of the 21st century. This is mostly because workplace diversity consists of individuals of diverse age groups, gender and religion. Along with these divergences, several types of communication take place. Hence, the management of diversity as well as poor communication acts as the major challenge for a manager. Misinterpretation takes place due to misunderstanding as well as poor relationships among the employees. In order to promote better communication, the managers are required to persuade their staff to learn extra about their co-workers and communication techniques. This can be done through office withdraws, recurrent diversity meetings and diversity tutorials (Carr-Ruffino 2016). Disorganization is also likely to take place that leads to unorganized diversity workplace policy that is almost as ineffectual as not having a diversity plan. Managers are required to take an organized strategy that will help to incor porate a thought policy. This includes aberration with managers and decision-makers about how to efficiently put into practice diversity in the workplace. If a budget permits, an organization can bring in a diversity specialist to help the manager create a plan. Communicate the preparation to employees. One of the major mistakes managers make is not efficiently communicating the diversity policy with the staff. Efficient communication can be done through meetings, memorandums and diversity conferences. Getting the employees on board is half the fight in putting into practice a policy. It is imperative to give confidence to workers to take diversity classes and tutorials, or plan diversity recoil to permit everyone to be acquainted with each other. It is also required to set objectives for diversity with tangible objectives. It is required to begin with long-term goals and work rewards (Cavanagh et al. 2017). Turn up with a catalogue of things you would like to accomplish as a compan y and ways to realize them. The opportunity that confronts to the managers due to workplace diversity includes successful management of cultural diversity that has advantage over other companies in employing individuals. Organisations that administer workforce diversity problems increase an analysis into markets consisting of alternative groups and women. Groups of people from miscellaneous backgrounds can be more imaginative than groups with harmonized backgrounds. On the other hand, varied groups can create enhanced decisions through a broad range of viewpoints and better methodical analysis of struggle and issues (Colbert, Yee and George 2016). Aptitude to administer diversity augments the flexibility of an administration. More rapid response to environmental changes makes available a competitive advantage. Some other opportunities of workplace diversity management are that it helps the companies to offer high superiority services to the customers. Workplace diversity management is an excellent tool for the companies so that they can work without difficulty pierce in an altering market situation. It is obliging in large-scale business renovation. It is a tool for total quality management (Ekberg et al. 2016). Conclusion It can be concluded that the requirements of the 21st century demands a population that is ethnically sensitive as well as globally focused, with a direction toward the future as compared to the past. Multiculturalism acts as the new paradigm for trade for the 21st century managers. One of the major mistakes managers make is not efficiently communicating the diversity policy with the staff. This can conducted through meetings, memorandums and diversity conferences. It can also be concluded that the capability to resolve conflicts in the workplace minimizes probable liability for worker complaints that in turn escalate the formal matters such as litigation. The quality of the relationships between workers is also preserved with the help of workplace diversity. The success of the organization as well as competitiveness relies upon the ability to embrace variety and comprehend the benefits.Management of workplace diversity requires to be comprehensive to manage the divergences that indi vidual brings for the productive welfare of everyone. In this report a complete study has been prepared over the use of cloud based accounting system and how it should be adopted by organizations for making their accounting information system more effective. In addition to this, comparative analysis between accounting information system and cloud based information system has been taken into consideration to reflect the vulnerability of both accounting system in keeping records and collection of financial accounts of company. Accounting information system With the increasing changes in technology and ramified inbound and outbound activities of organization firms are more inclined toward using cloud based accounting system. Nonetheless, small business enterprises do not need to purchase expensive business accounting software programs or spend hours lost in complicated reports. It is concerned with accounting software that is hosted on remote servers. This provides accounting capabilities to business in accounting tools such as SAAS (Software as a service). If small business enterprises will use cloud based accounting software then all the data would be sent into The cloud where it will be processed and returned to users in determined approach Cloud computing accounting system Cloud computing accounting software is developed technology which is used to collect accounting data, making financial information and other required data accessible to users and manager wherever they want provided that internet is available there. With the traditional accounting system, organization has to struggle with posting data into ledgers, preparing financial statement by adjusting all the financial data in set format (Chen, et al. 2014). In order to understand merits and demerits of cloud based accounting system following differences has been described as below (Toor, et al. 2014). Differences between AIS and CCAS Accounting information system Cloud computing accounting system It is a structure of that a business uses to collect, store, manage, retrieved and report its financial data so that it could be deployed by financial managers, accountants, consultants and auditors of the firm. Cloud computing accounting services are accompanied with process which is used to make automation in storing and collecting accounting data. It consumes more time and renders possibilities of several mistakes in the preparation of financial statement. In this accounting system everything is done by machines and all works are done by system networks which results into less time consuming process. It is accompanied with long route process. This software is developed technology which is used to collect accounting data, making financial information and other required data accessible to all users with the help of internet connectivity. It is beneficial for the organizations with less complicated business functioning. On the other hand If SME uses cloud based accounting software then it will result into automation in gathering and collecting financial data. In addition to this, it will also reduce the time consumption of accountant in preparing journal entries and ledger of financial data. Traditional accounting system is also accompanied with high maintenance cost such as hiring accountant, data entry feeders, expenses in data collection process and several expenses in research and evaluating present accounting standards. The most effective advantage of adopting cloud based accounting software is related with its backup plan of data. It is considered that if organization has uploaded its data on clouds then it could download the data from anywhere and automation in server creates backup for all data. While, traditional accounting system may poses high amount of threat of losing data if something goes wrong in organization such as natural disaster and other acts of god. It is found that use of cloud computing software result into several benefits such as high security of data, easy availability of information and systematic working process (Helo, et al. 2014). Potential risk or limitation in adopting cloud based accounting system It is observed that using computerized accounting system keeps all of the information organization and systematic manner and makes finding and accessing data in easy and determined manner. Nonetheless, there are several hackers and ill-intentioned persons who take advantage of information to make personal profit. There are several limitations and challenges which have been seen cloud based accounting system such as denial of services, hackers peep into the cloud to gain confidential information of companies. In addition to this, the most valuable risk is related with cost- benefits of installing cloud based accounting system. It is evaluated that if organization is not earning enough money which could be used to compensate the cost associated with installing cloud based accounting system then it would result into big loss to organization. Cloud based accounting system is technical system. Therefore, there is a chance of technical error in file which may result into drastic loss to or ganization in preparing financial statements (Cleary and Quinn, 2016). Recommendation Cloud based accounting system keeps all the information in optimized and in once place. Therefore, finding and assessing of financial information on accounting software program is much easier than other traditional accounting systems. It is evaluated that if Small and medium size enterprises is accompanied with large amount of inbound and outbound activities then it would be advisable for them to adopt cloud based enterprises resources planning. In addition to this, if a firm is incurring loss from its business functioning and want to adopt enterprises resources planning in its accounting system then it would not be called a rational decision. Therefore, it is inferred that small business enterprises has to consider its several factors such as nature of business, complexity of business activities, laws, rules and regulation of government. Now in the end gracious advice would be for small business enterprises that are inclined toward making information in snap, with less confusion and aggravation then should adopt cloud based accounting software system (Pierce, et al. 2015). Conclusion Cloud based accounting system is accompanied with several benefits which provides intense motivation to organization to implement automation in accounting system of organization. Now in the end it would be inferred that installation of cloud based accounting system would result into several complexity and high cost. Therefore each and every organization need to make capital budgeting analysis and cost and benefits analysis before installing cloud based accounting system in determined approach. It would be reflected that cloud based accounting system is very imperative for organization for the sustainable developing of their business functioning. References Cleary, P. and Quinn, M., 2016. Does Geography Really Matter an Example of the Topic Education and science by
Does Geography Really Matter? Geography is a subject matter treated separately from the field of science. However, this field is treated with less importance than science and mathematics. I've been studying geography since grade school as part of the curriculum. It is important to learn geography for it encompasses a wide collection of knowledge pertinent in a students' learning. In geography, we learn the past and present, as well as biodiversity. Some students consider geography as a boring subject for it includes history, this is the reason why we tend to be behind in geographic knowledge. Mentors can employ entertaining teaching strategies to motivate the students in learning geography. Some countries are overpopulated and there is a tremendous labor surplus. A large part of the population is unemployed and seeking for jobs to provide the needs of their family. Due to the desperate situation and the growing poverty, some foreign and international companies tend to put up their businesses in countries which offer cheap labor. There are also some countries wherein laborers are exploited. Acts of slavery and unfair treatment are pertinent characteristics of exploited labor. In these situations, injustice is observable in relation to how people are treated and compensated based on their working loads for the company they work for. Thus, these practices should not be tolerated and must be resolved by the government. Somali pirates continue to cause harm and terror on ships that navigate the seas near the country. The pirates are the fighters of many warlords factions who attempt to rule over the country since the end of Siad Barre government in 1991 (Baldauf). The root cause of piracy is the headless state of Somalia which is unable to protect the rich waters of the country. Foreign vessels fish in these waters, making the local fishermen lose their jobs. They became pirates by preventing any ship or vessel in fishing in the waters of Somalia and to earn a whole lot of money through ransoms. In attempt to address this problem, Somalia must have a government that is capable of protecting and uplifting the thriving economy of the country. Fishery protection for the waters of Somalia will cease piracy and enable the local fishermen to get back to their old livelihood. This will give the much awaited hope of the Somalis. Free Essays on Treating The Amish
Treating the Amish The Amish are a God-fearing, family-loving group of people. Their church doctrine states that ââ¬Å"It is easier to stay pure and focused if we set ourselves apart from everyday society, not taking advantage of advances in technology.â⬠Their ethics stress self-sufficiency, altruism and the need to put the community first above oneself. The Amish believe in folk medicine: faith healing, pow-wows and herbal treatments. They believe that a higher level of medical science is simply not a gift from God, and needs to be taken care of. They believe that medicine helps, but God heals. They are very careful medical consumers. If an Amish person is seeking medical treatment, it indicates that it is an emergency or a very important concern. The Amish religion does not forbid its people to seek modern medical care. When necessary, the Amish can have surgical procedures, dental work, anesthesia or blood transfusions, Organ transplants are permitted, except for the heart, because they believe the heart is the soul of the body. In some Amish districts, all forms of insurance are discouraged, including medical insurance. The Amish believe insurance is worldly, and purchasing it shows a lack of faith. Again, they believe that God will care for them. The Amish pay little attention to preventative care, and it is hard to impress upon them the importance of immunizations, cancer screenings, PAP smears and mammograms. This is largely because they believe that God heals them, but also because they may not be able to afford preventative care. Many Amish will refuse an autopsy and they do not believe in birth control. The Amish do not like to be seen by a health care provider who is in the ââ¬Å"learningâ⬠process. The Dynamic Nurse-Patient Relationship Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1
The Dynamic Nurse-Patient Relationship - Essay Example She developed the dynamic nurse-patient relationship model to provide nursing practitioners a model of efficient nursing practice. She investigated nursing patient care on medical-surgical settings, not individuals with psychiatric disorders in psychiatric facilities. She recognized three aspects of nursing practice: the uniqueness and creation of nursing knowledge, the professional role of nurses, and the relationship between nurse and patient. A nursing context comprises the patientââ¬â¢s behavior, the nurseââ¬â¢s response, and all that does not alleviate the patientââ¬â¢s suffering. Patient distress is associated with the failure of the person to satisfy or express his/her needs. The dynamic nurse-patient relationship is derived from the assumption that the relationship between the nurse and patient is mutual, which means that the behavior or decision of one influence the other. Orlando (1961) argues that the nursing role is different from the medical role and that the re sponse of nurses is based on the urgent needs, demands, and experience of the patient. Basically speaking, the theory claims that nursing is one-of-a-kind and autonomous because it focuses on the need of an individual for help or support, actual or probable, in an urgent condition. The manner by which nurses relieve this vulnerability is reciprocal and is performed in a closely controlled or profession way that requires education and expertise. Orlando (1961) argues that oneââ¬â¢s behavior or response must be derived from reason, not set of rules.

Will online education replace traditional education Essay
Will online education replace traditional education - Essay Example Some people argue that online education will replace the traditional classroom mode of learning as this form of education is cheaper to run and can reach more people at a particular time. Similar to most of the issues in education presently, economics are at the centre of the discourse, but the online courses are relatively expensive as they need a considerable and supported network. The instructors that are conversant with this mode of learning along with the students that enrol for it have to change their learning to involve a computer screen only. There are certain positive attributes that are associated with online learning including the fact that they can inspire peer-to-peer learning, partnership between various regions and the capability to easily get involved in an exciting and new discipline. On the other hand, these online courses do not always motivate practical and beneficial criticism as limited interaction takes place between the instructors of the course and their students coupled with huge disparities in regard to digital literacy. These characteristics every so often seem to be associated with the form of online course that an individual is taking. There are online courses that teach through broadcast, and this are the ones that are associated with most of the negative attributes. The ones that use a connectivist medium of instruction are typically associated with more practical attributes. Regardless of the mentioned distinctions, all the online courses have some common characteristic that is privilege. This means that the student taking the course must be able to access a steady and reliable internet connection, a good computer, enough time to engage the learning material as well as literary expertise that will allow them to participate in the sessions. This things are not available to everyone and the people that can easily access them come from
